Charity Boot Fairs a Bumper Success

Our Peasmarsh Superstore played host to a number of Bank Holiday Charity Boot Fairs, with this year’s once again, proving very popular, which in turn helped to raise a significant amount of money for local good causes.
This year’s car boots attracted hundreds of sellers and enthusiastic bargain hunters, with an impressive total of £1,135 being raised.
All the money from the sales of pitches and collections on the day where donated to Rye’s Bonfire Society, District Community Transport, Day Centre & Activities, Respite & Rehabilitation Care Centre.
The first Boot Fair was held in April and they continued every Bank Holiday Monday until the end of August.
Stephen Jempson said “Despite what seemed to be continued rain, our annual Boot Fairs are now a well established event in the Jempson’s calendar, we look forward to welcoming even more traders and bargain hunters to next year’s Bank Holiday events”.
Andrew Jempson added “We take great pleasure in offering our services for the benefit of local good causes and the community over-all, these events are well organised and we hope that they will be even bigger and better when they return”.
