Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, Post Office & Customer Service Supervisor who enjoys working with the public and who can support our current team and improve our customers shopping experience, whilst also improving the Post Office’s efficiency & profitability.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised,detail focused with the ability to use their own initiative. And who can also be flexible with work hours as the role includes evenings, Saturdays and holidays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To act in a professional manner at all times especially when handling confidential paperwork or issues for customers
  • Become expert in relation to the services the Post Office offers
  • Promotion of the Post Office goods & services
  • Be the first point of contact for customers with queries or complaints face to face or via the telephone
  • The ability to manage confrontation whilst remaining calm and professional at all times
  • Cash handling accurately and confidently
  • Cashing up & re floating the stores cashier’s tills
  • Reconciling & banking the various Coffee Shops and stores money
  • Update spreadsheets on a daily basis
  • Weekly ordering & taking delivery of change and any other stock from the Security Guard, also returning any unwanted items to the Post Office
  • Reconciliation of all Post Office money & stock on a weekly basis
  • The ordering of Post office related stationary
  • Maintain compliance of all Post Office POS & information
  • Staff training
  • To learn the Jempsons internal VME computer system
  • To ensure that store customers are served swiftly and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with all Jempson’s & the Post Office’s company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A positive, helpful attitude toward customers & colleagues alike, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
  • The ability to pass the Post Office security checks
  • The willingness to undertake regular Compliance tests
  • The ability to use numbers
  • The ability to work without supervision is an integral part of the role
  • The ability to work well under pressure & to meet deadlines
  • The ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance is essential
  • Able to walk / stand for 100 per cent of each shift
  • Reliable transportation is required
