Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal

The Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal takes place every March and encourages people to make a donation in return for a daffodil pin.

The appeal aims to raise money to support the work of Marie Curie Nurses and you can get your daffodil pin from our Peasmarsh Superstore or in any of our Jempson’s/Budgens supermarkets or coffee shops.

From 15th – 27th March we will be continuing our support for this appeal by offering in our Battle, Bexhill, Hastings and Rye Coffee Shops – as well as in the Peasmarsh Cafe – a special homemade Marie Curie Daffodil muffin.

We will also be offering a special deal of a yummy Daffodil muffin and a large cup of Fairtrade filter coffee for only £2.50 with a donation from the sale of every muffin and every deal being made to Marie Curie.

St. Patrick’s Day 17th March – Guinness Prize Draw

New Bakeries and Coffee Shops

It is with great pleasure that we can announce we will be opening two new Bakeries and Coffee Shops early in the New Year.

The first one will be situated within the vibrant Western Road Bexhill, and will offer you the finest beverages, snacks, cakes, pastries and fresh bread and rolls, all complimented with our friendly service. The second, will be in Kings Road St Leonards-on-Sea soon after.

75th Anniversary

We are very proud to announce that 2010 will mark our 75th Anniversary.  

George Thomas Jempson established the business when he purchased ‘The Bakery’, Main Street, Peasmarsh in June 1935 and we will be holding special events and promotions throughout the year to celebrate and mark this auspicious occasion.
