Jempson’s Charity Bootfair

Shoppers, vendors, and families are invited to take part in our Jempson’s Charity Boot Fair on Monday, Aug. 25, at the Peasmarsh car park. The event opens to the public at 7 a.m. and promises a lively morning filled with bargain-hunting, community connection, and charitable giving.

Organized by Jempson’s, a family-run business with a long history in the region, the Boot Fair has become a staple summer event in Peasmarsh. Dozens of sellers are expected to fill the car park with stalls offering everything from vintage treasures and rare collectibles to household goods and gently used clothing.

The event will raise funds for the Rye & District Day Centre, which provides vital support services to elderly residents, including meals, activities, and companionship. All pitch fees will go directly to the charity. Vendors can begin arriving at 5:30 a.m. to secure a spot for just £7 per pitch. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. No advance booking is required.

To keep spirits high and stomachs full, Jempson’s on-site restaurant will serve breakfast items, including hot bacon baps, fresh pastries, and a variety of hot beverages. The fair is expected to draw both seasoned sellers and first-time stallholders, along with a steady stream of local shoppers throughout the morning.

Admission is free for all visitors. We encourage early attendance for the best finds and remind attendees that participation helps sustain a vital community resource.
