When it comes to supporting local education, the Jempson Foundation believes you have to start from the ground up—literally. That’s why they’ve donated £200 to Beckley School’s PTA to help fund an upcoming student field trip to Bedgebury Pinetum, a forest haven that’s equal parts classroom and playground.
More than just a school trip, this donation is fuelling a hands-on learning experience designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection. Students will explore the towering trees, get their hands dirty in nature, and build memories that outlast any textbook.
The PTA, known for organizing heart-warming community events like the Easter and Summer Fairs, will also use the support to enhance future learning moments. This may include new books, arts supplies, and other enriching activities that continue long after the last pine cone is picked up.
The big picture? It’s about growing something lasting: a love of learning, a sense of wonder, and a community that invests in its youngest minds. With a little help from Jempson, Beckley students are headed for an experience that’s as enriching as it is evergreen.
“With sincere thanks to the Jempson Foundation — your generosity plants seeds of growth in every Beckley School heart. Your gift is more than a donation; it is a legacy of learning.”
The Jempson Foundation is helping the next generation of changemakers pack their bags, literally. We are proud to sponsor 11 members of Girl Guiding Rye as they head to Ireland this August for the Orbit International Camp that fosters leadership, confidence, and lifelong friendships.
Thanks to our support, the girls will sport fresh day bags, hoodies, and tees—stylish keepsakes from a once-in-a-lifetime trip. More than just new gear, it’s a symbol of community backing young voices on a global stage.
Girl Guiding Rye has long championed safe, empowering spaces for girls to grow into leaders. And with their sights set on Ireland, they’re showing what sisterhood and support can really do.
We’re thrilled to sponsor the Northiam Bonfire Society (NBS) Dog Show!
For the fourth year running, we’re thrilled to sponsor the Northiam Bonfire Society (NBS) Dog Show! This tail-wagging event is part of NBS’s Midsummer Festival, just one of the many creative fundraising efforts the society organizes throughout the year to keep their fiery traditions alive.
The NBS does more than light up the skies with bonfires—they light up the community with events like these that bring people (and their four-legged friends) together. We’re proud to play a role in their efforts to raise funds and make their ventures a success.
Whether you’re a dog lover or just enjoy a festive day out, this is your chance to support a fantastic cause while enjoying some paw-some moments. Here’s to another year of fun and fundraising!
The Jempson Foundation is pleased to again support our community!
The Jempson Foundation is pleased to announce a donation of £299 to the Wadhurst Bowls Club!
The money given by the foundation to the Wadhurst Bowls club goes towards maintaining one of the best greens in the county It’s not just about the countless hours of work this requires it also involves significant investment in equipment, fertilizers, top dressings, and efficient watering systems.
The green is cared for meticulously every single day of the year. Each morning, it is ‘swished’ to clear away dew and then swept to remove worm casts—365 days a year. Beyond these daily routines, essential maintenance tasks such as cutting, scarifying, aerating, and applying treatments ensure the surface remains in top condition.
This feels like a mutual partnership as the 35 visiting teams from within a 10-mile radius brought over 4,400 hours of exposure for The Jempson’s Foundation advertising banner allowing The Jempson Foundation to reach out further and our donations can help even more great causes. This level of visibility underscores the value of partnering with such a well-maintained and actively utilized sporting venue.
The Bowls Club also left us a kind message which reads: “We would like to thank you for your support. For the club it was a season of success once again with our club being selected by Sussex Bowls to host the County Two Wood Singles Competition, a Billingham League Area match and a Sussex VP’s day. All a tremendous credit and accolade for our green and club hospitality. Season 2024 was a difficult one with such poor weather and inevitable match cancellations but we still had 1478 players through the door to compete in matches and competitions”

The Jempson Foundation have made another donation to a worthy cause
We are always proud and happy to help our local community through our donations. We have just this week made a donation of £250 to the running costs of Playden WI Hall.
We understand that the annual cost to maintain the village hall has now reached $8,000, placing a significant burden on Playden WI. Despite their tireless efforts to organize various fundraising events, they are finding it increasingly challenging to raise the necessary funds.
The Playden WI Community Hall is truly a cherished asset for our community. Losing it would create an irreplaceable void in the facilities available to those in the surrounding area. One of the oldest community halls in the country, founded in 1921, this space serves as a vital hub for local groups. The hall offers a warm welcome to individuals from every corner of the community, providing a safe and convenient gathering place for all. It’s important that we rally together to support this cherished institution that plays such a crucial role in the local community.
We’re excited to share another wonderful donation!
We’re excited to share some more wonderful news!
Thanks to our amazing customers and their generous donations, the Jempson Foundation is thrilled to contribute £8,200 to the Rye Food Bank! Together, we’re making a positive impact in our community! Thank you for your support!
The Rye Food Bank are an independent foodbank serving residents of Rye and the surrounding villages. They are entirely staffed by volunteers and are wholly financed by charitable giving.
Their goal is to help those having difficulty buying food, for any reason. They can offer a warm welcome and even try to cater to specific food requirements for those in need. Rye Food Bank are open every Wednesday from 12:00 to 14:00 in the hall at the rear of the Baptist Church in Cinque Ports Street Rye.
Another worthy cause for the Jempson Foundation!
The Jempson Foundation along with our generous customer’s donations are happy to announce a donation of £1000 towards the Battle Food Bank!!
This is what the Battle Food Bank had to say:
“We’re very grateful to all the local customers who donate into the Jempsons fund. We have found in the last year that our physical donations are down by around 40-50% and as such when we receive money donations, this allows us to buy more food stocks and continue to offer a good variety of foods to those on the lowest incomes who are accessing the foodbank.
We’re also really pleased to be able to offer extra help to our clients through our advice service, meaning that we can help maximise the income of those using the foodbank, so they no longer need to access this crisis service”.
