The Jempson Foundation hits the right note

The Battle Community Singers are tuning up for a major milestone—their 10th anniversary concert—and the Jempson Foundation is helping make the celebration pitch-perfect. With a £150 donation, Jempson’s is funding interval refreshments for what’s expected to be a packed house of more than 200 attendees at St Mary’s Church in Battle on June 7.
The concert is free and open to all, but donations will be collected for the charity Surviving Christmas the charity focuses on providing relief for individuals and families facing hardship or distress in Hastings and the Rother District of East Sussex during the holiday season. For a decade, the Battle Singers have been more than just a group of music lovers—they’re a backbone of the local scene, performing at care homes, community events, and festivals around town.
Whether they’re caroling for charity or lending harmony to local festivities, the Battle Singers prove that community spirit (and a good tune) goes a long way.
