Donation to Northiam Bonfire Society
“Launching on the 28th September, we are offering free cooking classes to local people who want to learn about safely preparing and cooking home made, healthy meals on a low budget. These will be run from Bexhill Freedom Church in Sidley and you can visit our facebook page to find out more. Thank you to Jempson’s and all our local supporters.” Steve Lucas, Cooking Pops
“The sandpit and surrounding pebbled area is used every day, all year round, come rain or shine, so it’s an important part of the Children’s day. After 12 years, it has become unsuitable due to wear and tear and as we are a Charity Pre-School, having been running now for 54 years, we are very grateful for the support we receive from the local community and from Jempson’s to enable this project to proceed.” Tracy Dixon, Battle Pre-School
“A huge thanks to the local community for their generosity, we are very grateful for their support and that of Jempson’s. There has been a dramatic rise in the use of the food bank in the last couple of years and this donation will be of such help. We have a new premises in the Upper Church Hall of St Mary’s Church in Battle and we are open every Wednesday between 1pm and 3pm to support anyone in need.” Sally Parry, Battle Food Bank
The Jempson Foundation are sponsoring it’s a ChaRYEity Knockout, a Family Fun day down in Rye RFC on Saturday 3rd September organised by Rye, Winchelsea & District Memorial Hospital, the last of four events they are holding over the Summer.
“The money raised from this event will go directly towards purchasing new mattresses and beds on the ward at the Hospital. Since Covid we are extremely busy and it will directly benefit the patients and their comfort at the Hospital so we are grateful to Jempson’s for their donation” Paula Riley, Chair of Friends, Rye, Winchelsea & District Memorial Hospital

“All the volunteers working in the Rye Food Bank are immensely encouraged by the wonderful, open generosity of this community, as evidenced by this cheque and we’re very, very grateful. In dark days, this gift translates to a bright ray of hope for many people, and we promise that we will use every penny carefully and for the good of those most in need. We’re so pleased to work in close partnership with Jempsons, and we’re deeply appreciative of all that they do for us. Thank you all!” Bob Harper, Rye Food Bank
